Dr. Nedelcu's Publications

In the field of bariatric surgery, I have developed a particular interest in the topic of leaks following gastrectomy, for which I have published eight articles as the first author and six articles as a co-author. My thesis for the French bariatric diploma was also related to the surgical management of a chronic leak. Among the 80 students, I was the only undergraduate student to receive an A++.

Subsequently, I was invited to write an editorial commentary (as a reviewer for Surgery for Obesity and Related Diseases) and to deliver a lecture at the French Congress of Bariatric Surgery. Additionally, I was invited to be a reviewer for SOARD, and in June 2016, I received the “Certificate of Exceptional Contribution to Reviewing.”

Another area of interest for me is the revisional surgery for weight recurrence, which led me to write a book chapter and four additional manuscripts. In November 2014, my presentation entitled "Resleeve Gastrectomy" was recognized as one of the eight best oral presentations for the John Halverson Young Investigator Award by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
